Bring My Past to the Present: Get Your Pre-Childbirth Vagina Back, Without Surgery

She’s had children, and been with her husband for a while. Now, she senses he’s not getting as much satisfaction out of sex, and thinks it’s due to her lack of vaginal tightness. She wants to feel as tight as she did before she met her husband, but doesn’t want surgery. What can she do?

Case #: 1685

Concern:

I wanted to know if there is anything out there with all this technology to restore my vagina to it’s original state; the way it was before I got pregnant. I can tell that it is loose because I can see in my husband’s face that he isn't having as much sensation as before. I thought another possibility on why it got so loose might be because of the sex marathon that we had, but I don't think that's it either, because that was at least 6 months ago. I want to be as tight as it was before I met my husband and I really don't want to get any sort of surgery.

Discussion:

It’s natural for a woman’s vagina to become slightly loosened after childbirth, especially if you had your children later than your early twenties. As you approach peri-menopause, you’ll also notice changes in your physiognomy relating to the changes in hormones. One of these changes is a loss of muscle tone in your vagina, combined with a thinning of the labial and vaginal tissues. This occurrence will create the illusion that your vagina has become larger.

Less Isn’t More

However, it’s simply that the tissue has become less plush. This is because one of the hormones that diminishes in quantity during peri-menopause is estrogen—the modulator of the vagina. This important hormone keeps tissues moist, pliable, and plumped. As levels decrease, vaginal tissue suffers accordingly. But don’t run out and hop on hormone replacement therapy! You can increase estrogen levels to a small degree simply through diet.

Diet is Everything

As women grow older, it becomes ever more important to keep an eye on diet. Calcium and iron are two important supplements that every woman knows she needs, but many women are unaware that they must also account for decreases in estrogen, testosterone, and progesterone—if they wish to maintain a happy sex life. The greater inclusion of soy products, flax and sunflower seeds, legumes, and beans into the diet can solve this problem. There are also herbs that can serve the same purpose, specifically: Black Cohosh, Chasteberry, Mexican Wild Yam, Fenugreek, and Rehmannia.

Beginning a supplement with these ingredients will refresh your vaginal tissues, and give your reproductive area a new lease on life. As to tightening the vagina itself, the process couldn’t be easier. Let me talk to you about Kegel weights.

Strength Training

Kegel weights offer a quick and easy way to add tone and restore traction to the vagina. (SEE: Loosening Restoration with Kegel Balls) The process involves inserting a series of weights into the vagina, then holding the weight in place as you go about your day. The action of holding the weight inside you strengthens the pubococcygeous muscles that girdle your vagina, and teaches you how to “grip” from the inside.

The combination of increased muscle girth—giving the sensation of a tighter vagina—and new techniques for holding and squeezing, make lackluster sex an entirely novel and enjoyable pursuit. I’m sure that taking consideration of your hormone levels, in conjunction with a regimen of Kegel weights, will soon have your vagina better than you’ve ever known it to be.
